An echocardiogram is a noninvasive ultrasound examination that creates detailed images of your pet’s heart. It allows the veterinary team to observe the heart’s chambers, valves, walls, blood flow, and overall function in real time.
This diagnostic test may be recommended when a pet has a heart murmur, abnormal heart rhythm, breathing difficulties, weakness, coughing, exercise intolerance, or changes identified during another examination.
