Veterinary ultrasound for dogs and cats in Miami, FL

Ultrasound

Veterinary ultrasound is a noninvasive diagnostic tool that uses sound waves to create real-time images of your pet’s internal organs and soft tissues. It allows our veterinary team to examine areas that may not be fully evaluated through a physical examination or standard X-rays.

An ultrasound may be recommended to evaluate the liver, kidneys, bladder, spleen, stomach, intestines, reproductive organs, or other abdominal structures. It can help identify changes such as inflammation, fluid accumulation, masses, bladder stones, organ enlargement, or pregnancy.

Ultrasound does not use radiation and is generally comfortable for pets. In some cases, a small area of fur may need to be shaved to obtain clear and accurate images.
